Stories from the Field and Lessons Learned - Ep 195

Description: We all have our stories where we "barely got out", or, "I can't believe that happened!" On today's episode Heather opens up and tells us about an experience just last year that her and her co-worker barely got out alive from. There were a lot of lessons learned from that incident and we hope you can learn from this as well.

Archaeology as a Good Faith Effort - Ep 193

The concept of "good faith effort" is discussed a lot in archaeology. Archaeologists are required to survey and record cultural resources to the best of their ability or, using a good faith effort. Recording History in the Making - Ep 191

On today's episode Chris, Stephen and Doug talk about the responsibility of recording history as it's happening around us. As the US explodes in protest over the murder of George Floyd archaeologists are wondering what to do about contentious history. What do we do with all the statues that really should come down? What do we do about the graffiti that is being created right now that represents the thoughts and emotions of protestors? These are tough questions and we try to answer them on this episode.
