Transecting and Emails - Episode 62

Ever heard of "creative transecting"? Well, you're about to find out what it is if you didn't already know. Another term, "dead-walking" is used by some to indicate the walking you do that IS NOT in service of the project. It should always be minimized so you can save your crew from fatiguing and to help out the budget. Learn how to mitigate dead-walking through the use of creative transecting.

We'll also cover some fan emails regarding our monitoring episode and we'll thank some sponsors.

Stay to the end to hear music from fellow shovelbum, Mr. Joshua Allen Bauer.

Morale and Monitoring - Episode 61

crm podcast 4.jpg

On todays episode we Stephen, Doug, and Chris talk about ways to increase, or decrease, crew morale. It's an important topic and one that shouldn't be taken lightly. If the crew isn't happy then the project simply won't run smoothly. This can result in crew members quitting and not wanting to work there again, budget overruns, or many other terrible things. It's a big deal.

We also talk about monitoring. What should you do? What shouldn't you do? Seems pretty straight forward, but, there are a lot of complexities and issues that people new to monitoring might not have thought about.
